Kimal pioneered the concept of customised procedure packs where specific contents are assembled and sterilised according to the demands of a specific procedure or according to the particular preferences of a hospital, department or even named operator. Starting initially in diagnostic cardiology, the concept spread rapidly to include interventional cardiology, radiology and other clinical specialities.

The use of Perform customised procedure packs or kits have subsequently extended into new areas outside the cath lab and radiology department and can be used throughout the hospital, for example for catheter insertion. The items included have also increased from drapes and skin preparation essentials to include guidewires, catheters, staff protection, fluid management and most recently, selected pharmaceuticals. Care bundles providing detailed information on procedure protocols can be prepared in conjunction with the using department and included with the pack or kit  to ensure best practice is defined and implemented.
