Taurolock™ is the first innovative catheter locking solution to combine a highly effective antimicrobial and anticoagulant, resulting in a biocompatible solution which not only creates an environment hostile to bacteria & fungal growth, it also maintains catheter patency.

Taurolock™ is also available with the addition of Heparin or Urokinase to give a comprehensive choice of anticoagulation.

It is specifically designed for patients with long and short-term catheters in Haemodialysis, Oncology, Haematology & Parenteral Nutrition. Effective against all bacteria tested (more than 500 organisms including MRSA and VRE), the range of efficiency of TauroLock™ covers a wide spectrum of bacteria and fungi.

 

The product does not contain antibiotics and no development of bacterial resistance has been observed. If used prophylactically, it effectively avoids colonisation of catheters on the planctonic level and development of biofilm.
