Looking ahead with confidence at Kimal Electroincs
Our Strategy 2001 vision requires us to continually review our needs across all business areas in our desire to maintain a quality and efficient service.
Many of you who have visited us in the past few years will be aware that our main warehouse and distribution operation is located on two sites at our head office in Uxbridge. The Kimal Manufacturing division in Bromsgrove has continued to expand on our purpose built site; and more recently KimaI Electronics was moved into new much larger factory premises in Runcorn. This expansion allowed us to both extend the production facility and include with it significant storage and warehouse facilities.
A recent Bromsgrove & Runcorn operational site review indicated that we can offer all our customers even greater service by incorporating more of our warehouse and distribution facilities into one larger site. As a consequence we are, over the next year or so, going to relocate a substantial part of our Runcorn warehouse facility to enlarged premises at Bromsgrove. This decision fits in with our original intention of expanding our Bromsgrove site at the most appropriate time.
This decision means that we no longer require the larger premises at Runcorn for Kimal Electronics (R & D Manufacturing and Service). In due course, therefore, we will be moving the scaled down operation at this site to premises more suitable to our corporate needs.
We envisage during this time a number of role changes for our staff in order to come into line with the new organisational structure of the company; however, we do not foresee any interruption to our production or service commitment during this time.
Our decision to readjust our manufacturing & warehouse facilities allows us to focus on providing an even more efficient service to our customers. This will provide even greater benefit to you as time evolves, a benefit that we are sure you will welcome as part of Kimal's ongoing commitment to our international partners.

Like a knife through butter
Kimal's position at the cutting edge of Cardio - Radiology interventional technology receives additional strength today with the release of the AngioFLEX™ Silk Haemostasis sheath.
The new valved introducer sheath is available in French ranges 4 - 9 at 12cm lengths. They are also colour coded with suture rings for securing the sheath should it ever need to be left in situ.
The new range, available at an affordable contract price, does not compromise on Kimal's reputation for developing quality products using the best components and design technology. This reputation is exemplified with the AngioFLEX™ Silk's ability to achieve smooth dilator to sheath transition, cutting through scar tissue with ease. Additionally the hexagenous three-layered valve provides excellent catheter handling with minimal leaking.
The inclusion of the Dicote® secure locking mechanism as a component part of the new sheath adds to the user friendly nature of the sheath with its ability to act as a guide pigtail for catheters and J guide wires. This enables their smooth passage without snagging from the outlet of the sidearm.
The new sheath naturally evolves into the highly regarded AngioFLEX™ range of medical device products available from Kimal. The sheath's flexibility is underlined by the ability to customise its use with an introducer needle of choice. This may be a Kimal K6/1, the Potts Cournand or a Seldinger Needle. It is the Cardio - Radiologist's choice as any of these can be incorporated into the custom designed 'Silk' tray.
Commenting on the new sheath, Kimal Product Specialist Errord Jarrett states "The introduction of our new Silk sheath underlines Kimal's commitment to developing quality, cost effective products that meet the needs of our customers. We look forward to the future confidently and will shortly introduce our 25cm paediatric, radial sheath to the AngioFLEX™ range".
