IVantage Reducing Risk Increasing Safety In Clinical Care
Kimal will be showcasing IVantage at the Reducing Risk, Increasing Safety In Clinical Care Conference 2013 on Tuesday 5th March 2013 at Hotel Russell, London.
This event will focus on some of the common problems encountered in the use of infusion pumps and associated devices and is designed to offer advice, good practice case studies and an opportunity to get 'hands on' with the latest in this range of medical devices.
Each year thousands of medical device adverse incidents are reported to the regulatory body, the MHRA. Infusion pumps and the medical devices that are used with them often feature in a high number of these incidents. It is a fact that many of these incidents are caused by user error, a risk factor that can be substantially reduced by the right training and the promotion of greater awareness.
The delegates will comprise professionals from the primary care, community and acute sectors and from the NHS and private healthcare organisations who use or are involved in the training of those who use infusion systems and associated devices. These will include ward sisters, nurses, clinical trainers, EME technicians, equipment library managers, risk management and clinical governance specialists and others from a range of disciplines.
Kimal will display IVantage, our infusion pump and other vascular products such as Taurolock which support best practice and patient safety in IV line access management. Kimal products, service and exceptional customer care work collaboratively to provide not only safety and security for patients, but convenience and cost effectiveness for our clinicians.
