Kimal Holdings announce the appointment of Geoff Morris OBE as a non-executive director from January 1st 2017
Geoff Morris has recently retired from Medtronic after 32 years’ service and lives near Sydney, Australia. He was Vice President of Medtronic’s Coronary and Structural business within the Asia Pacific Region, based in Singapore, from 2011 to 2016. Geoff was also Vice President and International General Manager of the firm’s Diabetes business, based in California, from 2010 to 2011. Prior to this, he was UK and Ireland Vice President and Regional Director for 14 years.
During his time in the UK, Geoff was awarded an OBE for services to the Medical Device industry. He was also very active with the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI), and served as its Chairman from 2003 to 2006.
Commenting on the appointment, Professor Duncan Eaton, Chairman of the Holdings Board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Geoff as a non-executive Director. His knowledge of the medical technology business, and especially his experience in the cardiology arena, will be invaluable to Kimal as it develops its innovative products and services. The international market knowledge he has gained from his time spent in South East Asia and other Pacific Rim countries will be key in helping Kimal develop new markets and business.”Kimal Holdings was formed over 50 years ago and is a family owned UK developer, manufacturer, and supplier of specialty procedure packs and vascular access devices used in a range of clinical departments. It employs over 300 people, mainly in Bromsgrove and Droitwich in UK, and has subsidiaries in France, Germany and the Middle East.
