Fluid Management
What is Fluid Management?
A range of products used in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology that work together to help create an efficient, closed system to manage saline, contrast and waste fluids in a safe and effective manner which can also allow pressures to be measured during endovascular procedures. All available sterile stand alone or contained in a procedure pack for convenience.
•Manifold
The hub of the system, manages the flow of contrast, saline and waste and allows access to vascular pressures.
•Angiographic Control Syringe
For controlled aspiration and injection of fluids during procedure.
•Contrast Spike
Delivers contrast to the manifold and syringe from the contrast source, normally a bottle.
•Saline Spike
Delivers saline to the manifold and syringe from the saline source, normally a bag.
•Waste Bag
Used to “dump” waste and air out of the system.
•Pressure Line
Delivers the patient pressure to the disposable transducer (DT) for pressure measurement.
•Transducer
Converts mechanical waveform into electrical waveform. Measures patient pressure.
NAMIC Manifolds
- Clear Polycarbonate Construction - Easy visualization of air bubbles
- .093” Straight Through Lumen ID - Minimizes turbulence that can cause bubbles
- Uni-body construction - Reduces fluid turbulence that can cause bubbles (safety)
- Patented Swaged Rotating Adaptor (RA) - Provides strength/flexibility to catheter connection

NAMIC Angiographic Control Syringes
- Clear polycarbonate design
- Large .105” lumen thru Rotating Adaptor* - Provides easy aspiration and injection
- Patented swaged rotating adapter* - Improved user interface
- Ultrasonically welded cap* - Prevent plunger pull-out
- Increased flow rates & minimizes bubble turbulence
- Built in “flex” between barrel and RA
*does not apply to 8ml syringe

Squeeze Contrast Controller
- (2) One Way Check Valves - Proven to prevent cross contamination of Contrast Source
- Green Vent -Contains Filter to prevent contamination of contrast media in chamber
- Flexible PVC Chamber - 12ml chamber – reduces contrast waste at the end of procedure
- Green Ball - Provides warning that contrast has depleted in the chamber
- De-bubbling Dish - Filters contrast down the side of the chamber to minimize bubble formation
- Allows for easy preparation
- Refills to established level
- Designed to minimize air from entering the line

NAMIC Perceptor Manifold
- Straight through lumen - Facilitates easy de-bubbling
- 100% Quality Inspection / Accuracy Test - Only transducer manufacturer that 100% tests quality inspection and calibration
- Crystal clear polycarbonate - Optimal visualization of air bubbles
- Transducer is integral part of manifold - Less Connections
- Manifold must be at heart level when taking pressure readings
- Helps produce a more accurate waveform

NAMIC Compensator Manifold
- Straight through lumen - Facilitates easy de-bubbling
- 100% Quality Inspection / Accuracy Test - Only transducer manufacturer that 100% tests quality inspection and calibration
- Crystal clear polycarbonate - Optimal visualization of air bubbles
- Transducer is integral part of manifold
- Manifold must be initially zeroed at heart level & then can be at any level during pressure readings.
- Open end of PML must remain at heart level.
- Helps produce a more accurate waveform
